How gorgeous is this image! I have captured many favourite images in the time I have been a professional photographer but this one is very powerful and memorable to me. I love the power of photography and the ability to tell a story. To me this image beautifully captures the perfect bond between this adorable baby girl and her loving Mother.

A little background about this shot. This image was captured towards the end of bub's newborn session. Bub had been a little unsettled and had been crying. At this point I suggested to Mum to go in close and comfort bub. On that note, Mum snuggled in nice and close and started to shush and comfort her little baby girl. It was magic to watch. Almost instantly bub settled, stopped crying knowing Mum was right there with her. It was at this point she opened her one eye to look straight at me down the lens. I took the shot. You could instantly see the trust and bond between bub and her Mum. I have always loved this image and I know I always will. It tells a beautiful story.
